Kitty Kuo was born on August 31, 1983 (age: 40 years, as of 2023), in Taipei, Taiwan. She has a younger sister, who is also a poker player. Kitty grew up in a conservative and traditional family, where her parents expected her to pursue a stable and respectable career.

Kitty’s interest in poker started when she was a student in Taiwan. She learned the game from her friends, and soon became hooked on the thrill and challenge of it. She began playing online, and then ventured into live tournaments in Macau, where she had her first recorded cash in 2007. She quickly proved her skills and talent, and in 2009, she won her first major title, the HK $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the PokerStars Macau Poker Cup, for over $71,000.
That victory gave her the confidence and the bankroll to travel the world and play in bigger and tougher events.
