I started my Penn State experience on campus at Hazleton then University Park in the mid to late 90's. The campus housing, student life, safety, activities, athletic events, and food back then were all great as well as the party scene. I left half way through my junior year for financial reasons and finished my degree in psychology over twenty years later online through World Campus. The registration process was quick and easy. My advisor was very supportive! Canvas was a user friendly system. I enjoyed my professors who gave helpful feedback and were very responsive. The group projects helped me stay connected with other students in my courses. I was 7 months pregnant with twins when I graduated and working full time. That just proves that it is an extremely attainable goal for anyone to finish their degree online and it is never too late. I am now pursuing my graduate degree online 6 years later. I highly recommend Penn State World Campus and Penn State University all campuses!

I am thankful that I made the right decision to go to PS main. It was a very trying decision after high school, but a few months in - college was exciting, friends were evolving, and I was growing.

I really enjoy attending World Campus. As of late, they have added a lot more programs to try to make it feel less like an online environment and get a more personal experience with both your classmates and your professors. I think they make a really good effort in including World Campus students so that they get a chance to enjoy the "college experience". The classes are just as difficult as the on campus classes and you also get many of the same professors that work on campus as well. It's been an all around great experience and I can tell that it's only getting better.

PSU WC is a great option for online learning. You get a good and cumulative college degree but with the flexibility of an online campus. Most of the professors are willing to work with you to help you through the courses online. Overall, highly recommend.

I am half way into my second semester at Penn State World Campus. While it is online, I have gotten to interact with people in my class and have zoom calls. I have learned how to work on other peoples timing and Penn State has given me great work to do. It has taught me a lot already.

Everyone is nice and accommodating. Material is relevant to my course. The asynchronous classes best fit my needs.

Being that the World campus is an online institution, the transition from on-campus life to this was a little tricky. I think to be successful with this program, you need to have independence and a strong work ethic, as it can be easy to fall behind if you aren't on top of your work.

The application process was user friendly. The portal walks you through every step of the way. Once accepted, everything I needed to do was communicated clearly. It seems like all of the New Student Orientation process is streamlined. I would not change anything about my experience so far.

Overall I like the ease of access and the ability to learn wherever I am at the moment. In most cases assignment deadlines and learning materials was clearly defined in the Canvas software. The things that I often found was that the material could be outdated by a few years and the professor who created the course and made content videos wasn't the same professor "teaching" the course. In addition some professors weren't very active answering questions on the discussion boards and/or were slow to answer emails delaying content understanding. Another thing that was often frustrating is that graded materials for past weeks could take a long time to turn around making it hard to judge overall performance in that class. I am not sure if this is indicative of online learning in general, or if it's specific to Penn State WC. Overall I would recommend PSU WC to someone who needs the flexibility of an online environment, but I recommend in-person courses whenever possible.

I love that online schooling offers all the same benefits you would receive, were you to take classes in person. The VA official at the school has been a tremendous help as well which makes for a very military-friendly atmosphere.

As a mother of 3 young children, this was the most convenient way for me to obtain my bachelor's degree. The flexibility of being able to complete assignments and take exams at times when it's convenient for me (late nights, early mornings, when kids aren't home, etc) made earning my degree that much easier. The school provides online access to all of my courses so I can keep track of my coursework even while on the go. The professors are also incredibly helpful, responsive and accommodating.

It is difficult to manage classes and normal life but you get to do it on your own time. It gives you more flexibility for school versus having set times to be somewhere.

Though I haven't started my classes yet my orientation process showed me how much help there is for me at World Campus. Going back to school after three years of working full-time and being independent can be difficult, but Penn State has given me all the resources I could ever need to better my education. I am overly excited to start my classes and become a student again. I feel an overwhelming amount of pride whenever I get to tell someone I am now a Nittany Lion.

My experience at Penn State World Campus has been amazing. The professors are all extremely understanding and kind. The courses are engaging, interesting, and easy to follow. Taking classes online has offered me the opportunity to continue my dream of attaining a college degree with the flexibility that allows me to be a mother and full time employee.

I had a wonderful experience with Penn State University World Campus. As an active duty service member, the university professors were accommodating and understanding of my prior obligations. I definitely recommend this school to adult learners. One thing I would change is the tuition rate. It’s high for someone who is taking classes online.

Penn State World Campus was an absolutely incredible experience. I learned so much and all of my professors were extremely helpful, even though we were online. I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs to work while they’re in school or have to balance any other responsibilities. Their advising was absolutely incredible, I have never connected with such a knowledgeable and caring advisor. They truly do want the best for our futures and push us to get us there. even though we were online, I always felt like my professors were there to help me succeed with giving us extra help and answering our emails so quickly. If I had to return back to school and do it all over again I would definitely choose world campus.
