Trevor Brown is an English artist that works in Japan who clearly inspired the mangaka behindHunter X Hunter. Throughout the anime and the manga, Feitan can be seen flipping through the pages of Trevor Brown Art books.

The lengthier arc may be controversial, but it gives fans the opportunity to spend time with characters like Feitan that didn't exist in the earlier arcs. When the Phantom Troupe takes on Zazan in Meteor City, fans get to see the lighter side of Feitan when he jokes around with Shalnark and Phinks.
6 Feitan Favors The Transmutation Nen Type
Like Killua and Silva Zoldyck, Feitan has an affinity with the transmutation Nen type. Instead of recreating the power of lightning though, Feitan uses his power to mimic the power of the sun.
How Feitan learned of the sun's power on such an intimate level is a question for another day, but fans should not forget the sheer amount of power Feitan can put behind this attack. The Rising Sun technique nearly fried Zazan and all the members of the Phantom Troupe at once. The only reason Feitan himself survived is because of the fancy suit he conjured up just before launching his final attack.

The junkyard wasteland that the Phantom Troupe calls home goes by the name of Meteor City. This city is not recognized by the nations that rule over the discovered world, but that doesn't make it any less legitimate.
Feitan was raised in Meteor City. His skills as a fighter are more than likely tied to a history of struggling for survival in the lawless city. Still, even after what was surely a tragic lifestyle growing up here, Feitan still savedhis hometown from colonization when Zazan tried to declare herself Queenin the Chimera Ant Arc.
3 Feitan Is A Ghost On The Public Databases

The swift swordsman seems to appreciate lauding the power of ignorance over his opponents, so the fact that he doesn't even exist on the public databases suits Feitan. Even a Hunter with access to the Hunter's online database could find out nothing on the shadiest member of the Phantom Troupe before meeting him in the flesh.
2 Even His Date Of Birth Is Unknown
After Chrollo Lucilfer steals Neon's fortune-telling Nen ability during the Yorknew City Arc, the leader of the Phantom Troupe uses his new ability to foretell the fate of his Troupe members. Unfortunately, Feitan could not have his fate told because the technique requires that he write down his date of birth.
It is never confirmed that Feitan doesn't know his date of birth, only that he was unwilling to share it when Chrollo asked. Why would someone want to hide their birthday from their allies?

1 He Might Be A Zoldyck
One of the most popularHunter X Hunter fan theories supports the idea that Feitan may in fact be a member of the Zoldyck family. The young Nen user reigns from Meteor City, just like Killua's mom. He also shares a resemblance with Killua's darker-haired siblings.
On top of this, it has yet to be explained why Kalluto joined the Phantom Troupe if he was intending to track down Killua. Perhaps he is hoping to find a different brother while serving as a Spider.
