2. Fix Couldn’t Connect To Mail Plugin For AltStore

You see a popup error on your device stating you could not connect to the mail app plugin when trying to sideload apps with altstore. There could be two reasons for this. One, the mail app on your Mac computer isn’t open; check that. If it’s not open, open it in the background, minimize that, and install apps, and you’re good to go.

If you still have the issue, you might not have installed the mail plugin on your Mac. In that case, install the mail plugin. Above, I have mentioned how you’d do that.

3. AltStore Mail plugin is not compatible

Step 1. Run info.plist command

Open the terminal and enter this command below.

sudo nano /Library/Mail/Bundles/AltPlugin.mailbundle/Contents/Info.plist

Step 2. Add following lines

Add the below content to the key section of the file; you can see them a couple of lines before the end of the file.

Step 3. Run Altplugin.mailbundle command

PressCTRL+xand hit enter, then typeYesto save it.

Now enter this command below, and hit enter.

sudo codesign -f -s - /Library/Mail/Bundles/AltPlugin.mailbundle

Step 4. Run master disable command

After that, add this command below and hit enter.

sudo spctl --master-disable

Step 5. Restart mail app

Restart the mail app, activate the plugin, and restart again.
