Typical Things Known About Feitan

│꒰⇢Feitan is typically seen wearing a black cloak-like outfit with a black bandana that covers half his face. The bandana is lined with a grey trimming, a white skull with cross bones, and small red lining on the sides of the skull.
│꒰⇢Feitan has messy black hair, grey eyes, is slightly pale, and quite short of stature. (5'1 to be exact.)
│꒰⇢Feitan is a well known thief of the Phantom Troupe. (Also the smallest. Yes, he's shorter than Shizuku.)
│꒰⇢Feitan's weapon of choice is an umbrella that has a one handed longsword hidden inside of it and can also shoot the tip out of the top of it, like a bullet, when a button is pressed that's located on the handle.
│꒰⇢Although, he IS a Transmuter, so he has an incredible Nen ability. It has interesting conditions to meet so he can use it. (One being that the more damage someone deals him, the stronger and hotter his attack is).
│꒰⇢There is a theory that Feitan is the son of the Zoldyck's, on Killua's mom's side, and she left him in Meteor City for whatever reason. It's unconfirmed, but it's definitely considerable.

More About Feitan's Nen Abilities And Natural Abilities

┊ :black_small_square: His Transmuter ability is called Rising Sun. Pain Packer is actually a Conjuration ability. To completely use it, he utilizes the power of an Emitter.
┊ :black_small_square: He is the Phantom Troupe's "interrogator", so he greatly enjoys torture, which we've seen a few times through the show.
┊ :black_small_square: Feitan usually speaks softly with few words in his sentences, but when angered or "dealt damage", he never holds back in a fight. (This was made absolutely clear by Phinks when Kalluto kept insisting on watching him fight to full potential.)
┊ :black_small_square: Two of the known conditions that Feitan must meet to activate his ability is to be dealt a certain amount of damage, and when he gets angry, he immediately starts speaking in a foreign language; different from the common one in the world of HxH.
┊ :black_small_square: Feitan has a very good longterm memory. (Ex. "How many years has it been, I wonder, since all of the Troupe members got together? Feitan?" - Nobunaga. He immediately goes to Feitan when he could have easily asked Machi or Franklin.) Also, just to completely prove my point - "Three years, two months, but two have changed since then. Numbers four and eight are different." - Feitan
┊ :black_small_square: Feitan isn't seen fighting much with anything except raw power. He manipulates his hand, similar to Killua's, to kill his victims.
┊ :black_small_square: During Feitan's fight with Zazan, he pulls one of the first assassin techniques out on her to get close enough to end the fight; Rhythm Echo. (What I find interesting is that Feitan is able to create so many that Kalluto can't keep up with how many he's producing.)

Feitan's Personality

│꒰⇢Sometimes he is seen clashing and/or angered with the other Troupe members, but he typically displays a calm demeanor.
│꒰⇢He's at his calmest around Phinks, who he's usually seen with on most missions. (Sometimes they play a game to see who can kill more people than the other one.)
│꒰⇢He has a subtle friendship with Shalnark and trusts his judgement more than most. Feitan tried to console and convince Shalnark that Uvogin would not be killed easily, and he agreed with Shalnark to let Gon and Killua go after they were first captured by the Troupe, but only AFTER Shalnark is determined to let them go.
│꒰⇢Feitan may be a coldblooded killer, but he is also shown to have a humorous side. This is best seen when he and Shalnark tease Phinks after their fight against the Chimera Ants, with Feitan wearing a goofy expression on his face as he proceeds to call Phinks a "girly-girl".
│꒰⇢Feitan's sadistic nature, besides being the Troupe's interrogator, is shown a few times throughout the show. One instance is when he threatens to break Gon's finger and take off a nail with a smile plastered on his face. Another is his the sadistically, maniacal laugh he aims towards Zazan as he watches her burn to death, due to his aura's ability.

Feitan's Background

││ :black_small_square: Feitan is one of the Founder Members of the Spiders, alongside Machi, Franklin, Uvogin, Pakunoda, Hazama, and Chrollo.
││ :black_small_square: The only place Feitan is known to originate from is Meteor City, a place that's been erased from the world, and hardly anyone actually knows of its existence.
││ :black_small_square: The one time everyone attempted to watch Feitan use his Pain Packer, he almost killed Shizuku and the rest that were in range. (His Pain Packer has a ridiculous range depending on how angry Feitan ends up, considering he refuses to hold back when he fights.)
││ :black_small_square: He is shown to be one of the most loyal members to Chrollo. When he was kidnapped and he had an argument with Nobunaga, Feitan tells him that his way of thinking is an insult to Chrollo and the Spiders, the group takes priority over the head of the person.

:black_small_square: After Uvogin killed the Shadow Beast with his howl, he commented on how quickly Feitan was to cover his ears and that they had plenty of time before the sound reached them
:black_small_square: Feitan was one of the first to jump out of the car that Nobunaga got trapped in by the Owl's Nen ability
:black_small_square: He was able to behead multiple Mafia members within seconds and all at once
✥Incredible agility: Feitan is able to attack from multiple directions without breaking a sweat, darting in multiple directions, all while avoiding enemy attacks at the same time (even if he is taken down, he recovers quite quickly)
✥Increased stamina: Feitan doesn't typically use his powers to their full potential, but against Zazan, he's seen fighting so quickly, yet not breaking a sweat whatsoever
✥Enhanced endurance: Feitan continued his fight even with a broken arm and broken ribs.
✥Master swordsman: Feitan carries a concealed sword inside his umbrella, marked with a skull and cross bones on top (sort of a way to distract his opponent), that he weilds proficiently. Using this alongside assassin techniques he knows makes for his perfect kill.
✥Master torturer: One of Feitan's hobbies is torture. He is adept to torturing people to get information needed, much like he did with the Owl.

Transmuter
Feitan is technically classified as a Transmuter, but over time, he has been able to master many things.
:black_small_square: Transmuter ability: Rising Sun
Conjurer
Conjuration is one of the many things Feitan has mastered over the time he's known of Nen. He uses this to form the armor he uses that goes against his Transmuter ability so it won't harm him. (Which I was actually unaware of, and it's a genius idea.)

Emitter
Feitan obviously has to use his Transmutation to achieve this so he can detach his aura from his body. This is where Pain Packer Rising Sun forms as a whole.
Aside from Hatsu, Feitan has mastered various advanced Nen techniques.

These advanced techniques show that his ability to easily combine them means he's also mastered Ten, Ren, Zetsu, and Gyo.

Feitan is able to transmute his aura into a scorching heat, but its power (such as how hot it is), depends on how much Feitan is wounded in the battle.

╰── ➤ -ˏˋ My Personal Opinion On Feitan's Characterˊˎ- ˖*°࿐*ೃ .
Personally, I love Feitan's character. I like that he's different enough to stand out in the Phantom Troupe. The first thing that caught my attention was the way he speaks.
One of the few things that bother me about Feitan's ideals is that without Phinks or Shalnark by his side, he kind of jumps the gun about any situation without thinking beforehand because he's so used to getting whatever he wants.
I know it took at least five seasons to finally see this small guy's Hatsu, but IT WAS WORTH IT. I did not expect Feitan to be able to create something so powerful it literally ripped a building apart. (Yes, the building was made by a Chimera Ant, but still.) Feitan's Nen ability is absolutely incredible, and I honestly wish he would have used more than just that one type. (Since Phinks is a big mouth and said there's more than one, my curiosity lingers.)

Comments on his fights
Yorknew City Arc:
✥Feitan, Shizuku, Machi, and Shalnark vs the Owl and five other Shadow Beasts
I am going to be honest. I was disappointed with this one. I really was looking forward to seeing Feitan and Shizuku take out the Shadow Beasts, but the scene switched from them attacking to seeing Kurapika in a car with Uvogin.
✥Feitan and Phinks vs Mafia members (Uvogin's Requiem)
This was one of the best fight the entire Troupe has as a whole. They show diversity of the characters, but Phinks and Feitan are so quick they're taking off countless Magia heads without taking a second look.
Greed Island Arc:
✥Feitan and Phinks vs Battera's employees
This was just a typical one sided fight so they could get their hands on Greed Island. I am still curious as to why they thought it was necessary to blow up their car.
Chimera Ant Arc:
✥Feitan vs Zazan
This was one of my favorite fights. I was extremely excited to see everyone's abilities (especially Bonolenov's. His was really interesting.) But watching Feitan fight, then FINALLY use his Nen ability was AMAZING. (I think I watched that fight six or seven times because I was actually that impressed.)
✥Feitan, Phinks, Shalnark, Shizuku, Bonolenov, and Kalluto vs Disfigured Meteor City Natives
I wasn't too overzealous about this fight because all the Troupe was doing was basically putting their hometown people out of their misery. (Plus, the only person you see throw a punch is Phinks.)
